2 Corinthians 3:12 Since we have such a hope, we are very bold
Heavenly Father, God, thank You for my husband. Thank you for his boldness. That the hope he has in You drives him to do bold things – in service of You and in service of our family. God, I pray that you would remind me of his boldness that I can encourage it and thank him for it. I don’t want him to ever lose this part of himself. I want his hope and faith to drive him ever forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I think we often think of boldness as a loud and firm public testimony to something that we believe in. And I think in a lot of ways that’s right on.
However as with most things, actions speak louder than words.
A year ago, my husband totaled our one car. No one was hurt even a little bit. But the car was totaled. And we didn’t have insurance to cover our damages.
So after a week of going back and forth on buying and loans and what to do and running short on time to borrow other people’s cars, my planner man of action acted boldly.
He found a car that was the same as the car we just totaled so we could scrap parts.
He found a car that cost what was in our savings account.
He updated our insurance.
He didn’t yell about his convictions about how we handled our money from the top of a mountain with a bullhorn. He lived it. Boldly.

Thanks, love, for being bold. For living your convictions. It is amazing to see your boldness. You are never a bully. And yet you are respected by so many because of your boldness for what you believe in and how you act.

Now, it’s your turn. Take a minute and write what you’re thankful for when it comes to your husband’s job or a prayer of thanksgiving of your own. Put it in the comments, on facebook, twitter, or instagram. Be sure to use the hashtag #thankshubs and #day15boldness when you post it.
