#thankshubs Challenge #day19bible
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Heavenly Father, God, I thank you for my husband. I thank you that he reads Your Word. That he takes the time to read, learn, mark, and inwardly digest it. Thank you that your living breathing Word is the light on his path. I ask God that you would continue to grow the desire for your Word in his heart and that he would want to read it more and more and that he would model this for our children. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Last year, my husband was really sick. He was in the hospital for two weeks and had 10″ of his intestines removed.
The morning of his surgery, I was sitting with him, waiting. And he asked me to read him some Psalms.
I flip open the Bible to the Psalms for that day (there are 5 Psalms for every day of the month. Very cool. And in situations like this, very helpful) and start reading.
Before I can go on to the next one, he asks me to read it over and over. Just as he is able to repeat it, they wheeled him off to surgery.

Thanks love, for being a man in the Word. For listening to what God has to say to you and to our family. That in the hardest times, you know peace comes from the Word of the Lord.
