#thankshubs #day24mission
Joshua 24:15b But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Heavenly Father, God, thank You for my husband. Thank You that no matter what else You lead him to do with his skills and talents, that his number one mission field is our family. I also know this is a big responsibility. God, I ask that you would show me how to help him in this but not take over this role of his – to lead our family by Your word. I pray that as he wakes up in the morning and looks out upon his day that that his prayer would be “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Marriage was instituted by God for the spiritual transformation of husband and wife and for the raising of Godly children. These are heavy and super important responsibilities which fall to my husband’s- your husband’s – leadership.
When my husband wants to start something new to grow in one of these ways, like when he wanted to start a Family Worship Night, I encouraged him. I told him it was a great idea and helped where he asked.
His plan was simple and easy to execute. He’s leading and he’s taking his mission field seriously.
I can get on board to encourage that.

Thanks, love, for taking the mission of our family and our marriage seriously. I’m so encouraged by your willingness to build everything else around the mission of our family. And that whatever you choose to build is in support of our family. Thank you for taking the mission so seriously.
