Good morning all!!
Since there is still one more day to register for the giveaway, I thought I’d talk a little more about getting mine finished, things I would do differently in the future, and show you some more pictures. Why? Because I got mine finished yesterday (I had to replenish my tab supply). And so I’m even more excited.
DO say “I’m going to do this this week” but spread it out over a few days. I did each side in a sitting. It was good because I didn’t lose my place and I had a lot of momentum.
DON’T agonize over the decisions. “Should I use an NIV or ESV?” “Should I use highlighter or crayon or colored pencil?” Just pick one and go with it.
DON’T think you can eye ball the tabs. (Learned this the hard way.) It is really hard to line up the tabs on the top and bottom by eye since the way the pages lay changes a lot based on where you are in the Bible. (My side tabs BTW are perfect but the top and bottom ones look like my 2 year old did them and as much as I am annoyed by them, I know I’ll probably never go back and fix them so this is what I got.
DO use the color-coded sheets to help you tab. Put the sheet on the page and use it as the guide so the tabs are all straight.
MAYBE do this is as a group project with some other moms because it’s always more fun to work together.
DO get all the supplies you need up front.
DO get the tabs she recommends or buy lots of extra.
Here are my pictures just to give you an idea:
