Heffner Homestead
Well I planted carrots and they shot up like little rock stars. However I didn’t sow them with any kind of rhyme or reason. The seeds are so tiny and I thought “meh” (just an example of being a novice gardener. So I’ll need to thin those. I went out to the big garden but I can’t say I could tell you which things are coming up. I tried to tame back my mint. And I need to weed.
Hubs went on a quest for cabbage this morning to make sauerkraut and we must be in between cabbage seasons here in East TN. He did get me fresh apples that were CRISP like you wouldn’t believe and this cinnamon roll/cream cheese danish combo. Whoever thought of baking this, thank you. And hubs, thanks for seeing it and thinking “Leah” because, yes.
Cutie Family Updates
We sorted clothes this week. And it took me ALL day. And I could have fallen asleep in a tote. None the less, it’s done. The kids, who both usually go to bed with the least amount of clothes we’ll allow, both got new jams out of their respective stashes and are in jammie heaven. So that’s totez adorbz. Lemonade’s, from what I’ve gleaned from her, are only acceptable because they have lace like princess pajamas would. Obviously. And Dozer’s have fish. And a submarine. So again, obviously.
They got to sleep in the tent last night because Super Dad and I slept in the house because, Duplex. They LOOOOVE camping. We ate over a fire. I think Dozer ate more at dinner over his fire than he had in several days. Hubs says this is a caveman thing. Whatever, I’m happy he ate. 🙂
Baby Update
So me and baby are at 36 weeks. Which in some ways has me totally in HOLY CRAP mode and in other ways is like “Yeah I got time” mode. I can feel arms and legs and knees and elbows. I’m having some new pregnancy symptoms than either of my previous pregnancies. Some carpal tunnel. Some crazy pressure. Baby is happy and healthy so I’m happy.
What I’m Reading
I will be finishing Redeeming Childbirth this week, just in case I go early (HA! Never gonna happen.)
And then I’m starting Bringing Up Girls. Hoping to get it done before the baby so I can go digital.
And in the Bible, I’m in Psalms which is fun. It’s amazing how Psalms speak differently each time we read them. I feel like there are just copious amounts of underlines and highlights all over the place.
