Hey y’all. Today’s Top 3 is really special because not only do you get to see what I look like when I haven’t slept very well, you also get to find out three things I make at my house every week. I’ll put the recipes below the video if you want to see them.
Recipes
1. Dishwasher Detergent
This is the recipe I use when our water is not as hard and this is the recipe I use when our water is very hard.
2. Yogurt
There are about a hundred ways to actually make the yogurt – crock pots, in a cooler with hot water, in the oven – or the way I do it which is in my yogurt maker. You do need a starter culture and I recommend getting a heirloom start from Cultures for Health because you can keep using it over and over!
3. Granola
I cannot find the recipe I learned this from (I’m not much of a recipe user) but this is similar (I don’t use rye).
If you do not like soaked granola, I do a 1/4c butter with a 1/4c maple syrup and 1/4c brown sugar. Melt those three and then pour it over 4c of oats. Dry in the oven at 200 degrees for an hour or so. You can also add rice krispies, coconut flakes, almond slivers, dried fruit, or whatever floats your boat.
The Ultimate Homemaking Bundle
Do any of you ever feel a little overwhelmed by housework, or homemaking, or knowing how to get ahead in housework or homemaking? Me too. I just conquered a couple week old pile of laundry mountain. And I’m behind in cleaning because the weather is beyond glorious.
So I’m really excited about this mini course from the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle called 4 Simple Steps to Stress-Free Homemaking. Even better, this course is FREE. (You can click here to access the free class.) And I wanted to share it with all of you who maybe also could use a little inspiration in this area.
And this is a fun way to get excited for the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle that is coming out next week. Last year’s was totally awesome and I just LOVED it, LOVED it, LOVED it, and am so excited about this year’s too! The books are so encouraging and the bonuses are out of this world.
April’s Book Club – Unveiled Wife by Jennifer Smith
This month we are trying something new for book club. I already did a review of Unveiled Wife (check it out here) and I’ll invite anyone to join the ‘Read, Pray, Love’ facebook group (click here to join the facebook group) and we’ll have an open discussion time over on there! So if you’re interested in reading Unveiled Wife and discussing it with some friends, you might have just found a great place to do that. We’re excited to see some new friends in book club!
Pregnancy Update
I’m 13 weeks and in the 2nd trimester (I think, every opinion is different). Pretty much I’m hungry all the time and mostly crave things that I can have with milk like waffles, pancakes, breakfast cereal….
Our little baby is the size of a lemon which just makes me super happy. And every once in a while I feel a nice solid movement which I LOVE.
I’m not sleeping super well. And I could use some prayers in that department. Thanks so much.
And here’s a bump picture because I’m huge and I don’t think I was this big for 30 some weeks in the first pregnancy. That’s all out the window now I guess. O well. I’m growing a human. I love this.
