BIG NEWS! Like super, mega, honkin’, news!
The Ultimate Christian Living Bundle is now LIVE! What does this mean? It means that you have access to over 75 eBooks from BIG names like A.W. Tozer, Gary Chapman, Dannah Gresh, Sheila Wray Gregoire, and more as well as books from some of the best bloggers around! And it’s not just eBooks – there are 50 kids songs, setting scripture to music; devotionals; novels; and more. And there are some awesome bonus gifts, including free work out videos and Christian clip art. The sale goes live at 8 am EST TODAY!
If you think this sounds too good to be true, it’s not! I bought the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle from this group last spring and I loved it. I bought it for some of the more recognizable books and ended up loving some of the ones that were included. They do a great job of putting all sorts of great resources together in one place for an AWESOME price. But it’s only for a few days.
Want to know something else exciting?
I’m so geeked that my book is included in this bundle, I’m going to give a copy of my newest eBook Get Your Groove On : Finding Your Rhythm Between Being and Doing, which comes out in December, to everyone who buys the bundle through my affiliate banners on my blog. All you have to do is email your receipt at leah.heffner(at)greaterimpact.org and when the eBook is released, I will email you your copy. How great is that?!
Check out the titles in bundle, make sure you check the FAQs, the great bonuses, and then when you’re ready, you can click below to buy it. These bundles and the bonus gifts make *great* Christmas gifts. And I know how hard it is to get out and shop with little people, so online shopping is a HUGE win.
If you want to get in on Bundle Fever, be sure to “like” The Respect Dare on facebook (link in the sidebar) because tomorrow night, Thursday, November 6 at 8:30pm EST we’re having a facebook party! I’ll be asking questions, getting your questions, and giving away some GREAT prizes – including a bundle! You’re going to want to come and hang out with us and party like it’s 1999 (no, I was 13 and had bad hair…maybe 2004…)
I’m going to spend some time this week talking about the titles I am just loving in the bundle. But don’t worry, I’ll still be blogging our #thankshubs Challenge every day!
(and now back to our regularly scheduled programming…)

Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
Heavenly Father, God, thank you for loving me so much and knowing me so intimately that you knew from the fall that I would desire to hold on to control in as many areas as possible – including control of my husband. Thank you for being clear in Your Word that we are equal in our value as part of your creation and that we also have different roles and things that you created us to do. Thank you for making my husband the leader of our family. A country with two kings wouldn’t function very well, and that’s also true in marriage. I am so blessed to know that there are many burdens that I don’t have to carry when I surrender them to Your design for our roles. I love you Lord. Amen.

Four years ago on New Year’s Eve, my husband and I attended the wedding of some of our college friends. I had just found out I was pregnant and my head was literally spinning from all of the smells and I was having a hard time seeing straight let alone having a conversation with anyone.
Part way through the evening, another friend approached me and asked what it felt like to be submissive to my husband. She was planning her wedding and marriage and in her mind, she had a lot of switches to figure out how to turn on or off, depending on what they were for.
In a moment of clarity that night, I told her that my husband being a leader was like taking weights off my shoulders that I didn’t know were there. I didn’t need to control everything anymore. I didn’t need to be the boss and be in charge of everything. And the buck didn’t stop with me – he was/is responsible for our family before God.
I shared with her that it’s an amazing feeling to be married to a person when you don’t feel like you have to rob them of their role to do yours well. That being able to let go of things that weren’t mine to begin with (leading, for one) made it a lot easier to focus on things that were mine – helping, respecting, and submitting.

Thanks, love, for leading our family. Whether that’s in our financial charge to pay off debt, our family worship time, or the system to keep our kitchen tidy, I appreciate how you approach things and think them through so well. #thankshubs

Now, it’s your turn. Take a minute and write what you’re thankful for when it comes to your husband’s job or a prayer of thanksgiving of your own. Put it in the comments, on facebook, twitter, or instagram. Be sure to use the hashtag #thankshubs and #day5leader when you post it. You can even tag me @leahheffner (twitter) or @respectdare (facebook and instagram). And if you’re a blogger, leave your post in the linky below and feel free to grab the button for your posts. Not the easiest thing for me Lord because of my OCD. Lord help me to follow your teachings. Help me to live by Your precepts. Help me to realize that this role is important to my husbands self worth. Help me dear Lord. Thanks you for the head of my house hold. Bless him today and forever more. #thankshubs #day5leader @respectdare
