Back with a video this week, sharing 3 thoughts on maternity clothes. Trust me, you won’t want to miss my take on maternity clothes or how I dress to unimpress when I’m pregnant aka I wear my regular clothes as long as possible.
On the Homestead
Wouldn’t you know it that Hubs went out to the garage last night and found where the little mouse with discerning palette was stashing our corn and sunflower seeds – in his hiking boot. After I reminded Hubs that he had cautioned me against keeping shoes in the garage for fear of little visitors, he let me know that I could replant the corn if I wanted. HA!
Everything is up and doing great. Our summer squashes are HUGE but we don’t have anything yet. I checked last night though and some fruit is forming. Tomatoes are vining and there are peppers. We should have some eggplant soon and the melons are taking over. So everything is right on schedule for a garden that went in about 6 weeks late.
I also have a a crazy-holed tshirt that just came out of the laundry. How did this happen? And does it happen to other people?
My Cutie Family
Listen, y’all, my Father’s Day gift was a total bust. We got to the paddle boarding place and the guys’ directions when I asked how to find him were “you can’t miss me” and of course we could not find him. So we spent almost an hour in the car just looking around, driving to other boat ramps, etc. Called the guy twice. Nothing. So I emailed him the next day and he had cancelled all of the appointments and ours just slipped through the cracks.
My husband is such a trooper. I would be massively devastated and he’s like “It’s ok. I had a great Father’s Day.” He might just be being nice so I don’t cry but I’m ok with that. We didn’t even take a date night selfie. #fail
My kids (especially my son) like to sit at Hubs’ desk and “work” on the computer. So the other day they both ran in there to prevent daddy from working by simply taking his seat. But it was super cute. We then have to remove them and lock the office door.
“Mom stop acting like that…you are acting like a personal kid…it’s making us uncomfortable.” -Lemonade, age 3 (I really have no idea where she comes up with this stuff. But it’s adorable.)
We also found a u-pick blueberry place and the kids were insanely helpful and I was so impressed. I can’t wait to take them back.
Baby Update
I’m at 23 weeks. I have to do my diabetes test at the next appointment which you know, stinks. Baby sounds good. I’m starting to feel every pound I’ve gained in my swollen cankles (yes, cankles) when I go to bed at night. But this pregnancy is going awsomely well.
My kids we so psyched to hear the baby’s heart beat at the appointment on Friday. And my son thinks my belly button is the portal to all things baby. Which is just the cutest.
And In Other News…
I need to take some time and write down my MOH speech or it could be a half hour and my sister said no way. So add that to the to-do list. 😉
Also Life Around the Coffee Cup has a facebook page! You can check it out and “like it” here. I also suggest that you “follow” so that you don’t miss posts. Facebook is being so sneaky here lately! Of course you can find me on instagram, twitter, and pinterest too!
