This week’s Top 3 are some of my weekly sanity savers. They are so silly but none the less true, and I’d really love to know some of yours!
On the Homestead
We just got 10 bales of hay for mulch since we haven’t been able to get a tree service to give us the full Back to Eden garden experience. So hay it is. Hubs spread it all over the garden. I edged the whole thing. And I was sore. But I slept great so YAY.
Our squash plants are almost as big as the kids. Now I’m a gardening novice, but the Hubs who spent all of high school working for produce farmers is no novice and HE says he’s never seen squash plants this big so I think that’s something.
Everything is fruiting – squashes, zukes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants. I’m nervous about the melons – there are about 40 blooms right now and I think we’re going to going to be up to our ears in cantaloupes and I don’t even like them. So that should be fun.
My Cutie Family
“Mom, did you see what that store had….pee-nan-nas. Mom, someday can wee get a pee-nan-nah?” – Lemonade, age 3
“Do you mean a piano? Like something that plays music?” – Me
“No mom, for a party, and candy comes out of it.” – Lemonade
“OOO a pinata. We can talk about getting one.” – Me
“Mama, my name weeee-uh.” – Dozer, age 2
“No sweetie, that’s my name.” – Me
“No mama, my name.” – Dozer
Baby Update
Week 24. Someone came up to me today and said “I didn’t know you were expecting.” Next time I will answer “Oh, I’m not. Why do you ask?” That will be a fun new game.
Baby is the size of a mango. And is kicking a lot. Baby especially likes to kick when I’m holding one of the bigger kiddos and I feel like there’s a war over my rib cage and diaphragm. But I love it.
So yesterday, on Facebook, I posted what my kids’ names would be if I named them after my pregnancy cravings. Mine would be 1. Pizza 2. Limeade Slushy 3. Chipotle What would your kids’ names be? Share it on the facebook page.
And In Other News…
If you are looking for a way to step up your game on pics of your own cutie family or of other cutie families, this bundle might be for you. The sale ends at midnight EST so don’t miss out!
That’s all friends! See you later this week!

I didn’t realise it was a sanity saver but I wash my hair every three days…for the same “don’t have time to blow dry” reason as you. I always have the same breakfast for me and the baby (oatmeal with fruit puree – I make a big batch of the fruit at the beginning of the week so it’s just in the fridge ready to go) because thought power is not high in the mornings 🙂

I accidentally made a ridiculous batch of overnight oatmeal and I put it in the freezer portioned out for one morning of breakfasts and it has been AWESOME when the kids want oatmeal. <3
