1 Peter 5:2-3 shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.
Heavenly Father, God, thank you for giving us everything that we need in Your Word. Your job for husbands is to love, serve, and lead. By being a willing servant in the service you have called him to, his leadership is that much more powerful and trustworthy. Thank you for creating him in a way that these roles go together and complement one another, always for your glory. I pray that I would see strength and devotion in his service. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

On Sundays, I get to take long naps. Really long, snuggly, glorious naps. Because, on Sundays, my husband makes sure that whatever he is doing or might end up doing can be interrupted when the kids get up from their naps, so that I can sleep as long as I need to.
When I wake up, he tries to make sure I can ease back into my “normal” slowly and gently. He checks in to see if I feel ready to start the week, from a rest stand point.
It’s not huge crazy gesture, but I can see his willingness to serve me and our family.

Thanks love for my naps. It’s just one of the ways that you serve in our marriage. It is a joy to watch you grow in this area, and as God would teach you.

Thanks hubs. I appreciate that you serve me so selflessly and always. I really don’t deserve it – that I do know. I appreciate it anyhow. You are good to me.
