1 Peter 3:8 Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
Heavenly Father, God, thank You for my husband and for my marriage. Thank You for the mind of unity that you have put into my husband. I pray God that You would increase in him, as only You can, tender heart and humble mind. I ask that you would help us to grow in our friendship love. And that through that friendship we would see compassion and sympathy for the hard things we will face in this life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A few months back, I had a DAY. I can’t even tell you all what happened as I’m sure I’ve blocked it out. But what I can tell you is by 3 in the afternoon I was ready for my husband to be home. Ready for him to work his daddy charm and have my kids laughing and playing in 12 seconds.
Only he had a late meeting and had to stay at work till after bed time.
I was spent. I called him and said I didn’t know for sure how I could make it through the rest of the day well when I had nothing left to give.
He told me to order some pizza for dinner and have it delivered. I think pizza might be the 6th love language.
He showed me great compassion and spoke into my need with something super practical and in the grand scheme, pretty small. And in that our friendship grew.

Thanks love, for always hearing me out when I need a friend. Thanks that you can see when I need a break and when I’ve got nothing left. I’m thankful for your compassion that you generously pour out on me. I love you.
