I posted last week on planning for resolutions. I would love to have written this beautiful and eloquent post. (Un) Fortunately, my kids and moving have kept me too busy for such things. Instead, I’ll just list what has been bouncing around in my head and how I feel like God is speaking to my heart to grow.
Spiritual – I have actually put it in my planner to do daily quiet time. I would love to get up and do this before everyone is awake. But since the baby STILL wakes up in the middle of the night, that’s hard for me to do. Instead, I usually do it during afternoon nap time. I have a place to mark it off in my planner so I think that will help. So the plan for this season is to do the Proverb of the day (one for each day of the month), 5 Psalms (since there are 150), and one other chapter (I’m starting with the minor prophets). Also, my husband and I are starting “Jesus Calling” as our daily discussion. Very excited. I would also like to work on memory verses for my toddler (and myself) now that she repeats really well.
Marriage – I think my biggest struggle has been doing things to make my husband happy versus doing things because it makes God happy. The reality is that sometimes these things are the same, but I want to recognize the motivation in the task. I also want to revisit and get feedback more often on respect and other priorities we’ve set together.
Mothering – I want to find a balance between getting things done and giving my kids the attention that they need. And I want to try to go to the library every couple weeks. Seems silly, but I think it’s a good one.
Homemaking – In my epic new planner, I have a homemaking schedule which is actually doable and will help me feel successful. I will let you in on this one later. My goal is to say “I have improved at housekeeping”.
Ministry – I can’t begin to tell you how I’m excited to see what will happen with Greater Impact and my role there. Also we are working on plans for the ministry we would like to start (my husband and I).
Relationships (other) – I am actively working on making it a priority to be transparent and be a godly woman to walk with some of the younger women in my life.
Health – I will see a chiropractor/natural doctor to help with my psoriasis and possible food sensitivities. I will also eat more fermented foods. 🙂
To Read List – It’s not long. I don’t usually have a lot of stuff picked out in advance. I want to read a book a month. Boundaries is on my list. As is 1000 Gifts (our next bible study book). I also am wanting some Janette Oke or Karen Kingsbury series (suggestions anyone?) and I’m trying to read the Chronicles of Narnia to my daughter (so far she’s not interested, but she does like her French vocab book WIN MOMMY!) Also I’m reading Miracle for Jen and we’ll see. I’d love suggestions from you!
Ok share resolutions. Share books. Share plans of attack. GO!

I’m trying to spend my first minutes of the day with the Lord. And my oldest gets up first and I want to get her up a little earlier and read through proverbs with her every day. I’ve been doing the respect dare (again) and that’s my focus for my marriage. I’m trying to show more respect for him and highlight the most important things for him in our home (keeping it picked up, laundry not just clean but put away, and bills paid on time). We as a family are trying to make healthier and more active habits. Here’s to a clean slate 😉

Looking forward to hearing about your homemaking schedule. I am new to this skill and am looking for ways to improve 🙂
I’ve read the first few books of the Love Comes Softly series by Janet Oke. They were great! In fact I plan on finishing the series this year!

O yes! I will need to share that one soon! Just had a friend look at it today. And I just read the whole Love Comes Softly series and now I need a new one to fall in love with.
